David Lynch's Ambitious and apparently final movie is a sure treat for fans of the surreal and darkly unsettling universe created by the director's earlier works, filled with trademarks and references, Inland Empire pushes the envelope even further than Eraserhead, right into the subconscious of the viewer; especially for the open-minded to this particular kind of experience. A brand new 4K restoration of David Lynch’s 2006 surrealist masterwork starring Laura Dern in one of her finest roles.After the entire movie had been processed, it underwent quality control for image-breaking artifacts, such as faces becoming garbled. Following her casting in an apparently cursed film – a remake of an unfinished movie where the two leads were murdered – her personality appears to fracture.
